Phone number verification! Is it necessary to secure the account?

i noticed that they added a new option of security which is phone number verification ! i was happy to see such a feature in primedice, just like other sites do ! but i wondered after, is it really necessary to secure your phone number while you have the 2FA enabled, and also the email verification in case you lost your account ?

what do you guys think about this new feature ?

it may be a delay or something, its a new feature, you can always expect some issues, it may take few minutes, if you didnt receive the verification message then contact the support,

Yes phone verification can help to us to secure our account but me I never put 2FA or email verification because 
my account is always empty everytim that's why I didn't put that and it's bothering me when I TIPs or Rain when you have 2FA
activated.

i am not surprised you didnt set 2FA verifications ! because it bothers many people in every move they do, but i really think you must set an email ! its necessary to recover your account in case you lost or forgot your password !

hmm 🤔🤔🤔 i also tried to verify my phone number. but i guess that's not a new feature coz i remember before , someone ask us if we have received an sms regarding the bonus using the phone on stake. so i checked it and there was a communication for phone number. i did the same with pd. i just dont remember if i verify it.

I guess with your phone number they can do three factor authentication or can also use it to recover your password if you ever forgot/lost it. Personally, I wouldn't give my phone number out as the whole reason why I prefer cryptogambling over fiat is anonymity. This is just me though, and I'm sure it would be ok to give it out if you wanted.

I'm a bit sensitive about my phone #, so I won't consider using it just yet, email and 2fa work fine for me. But it is a nice implemented feature.

2FA is enough to secure with a strong password. Phone number verification is an optional feature.

I know too, but I haven't added my phone number. I think with 2fa and email is more than enough, but maybe next time I'll try to add my telephone number, if that's really necessary

Its another way to secure our accounte at primedice. But I am still hesitant to add my phone number, it's my personal data  I dont wanna reveal. For me, 2fa is enough.

I believe they are still working on this feature, so you may not receive a text even if you type in your number. Not sure on the ETA of when this will be fully operational.

It seems a good feature to add up more security to users account. I hope it's optional since some users are more convenient in email verification others use 2fa. Other users might consider this as they store huge amount of coins in their account they might try this for extra account protection.

I think this is indeed necessary to do, given the rise of theft and fraud in cyberspace specifically in the world of crytocurrency gambling.
I think this actually makes the gamblers in Primedice even more secure with the accounts they use in Primedice. especially for those who prefer to keep some of the coins that they have in the primedice rather than in their personal wallet. This new security feature will make gamblers more calm with the security of their accounts and their coins in primedice. this is very good in my opinion

I think they will use that to replace email verification when using the vault. About the question if it is necessary? Yes! It is an added security and in the future it will serve its purpose. Although to be honest, I am still wondering what will I do if I lost my 2fa. Personally I think the most convenient mode of security is email-you can have access to it anytime and anywhere.

Same here. I tried requesting for verification code for several times and until now I don't get any. Maybe its the same as the email verification link that they will send you when you withdraw in the vault. I remember it being so delay.

Maybe its on beta test and  that the reason for the delay of the verification. I think it is still avail for some countries (the text) I hope they will fix it soon.

Just today I tried to put a Mobile Phone on my account but I didn't receive a confirmation number yet almost 20 minutes ago
I don't know what happen about it. I hope soon they will fixed it. I just want to try it

Additional security is always something to be pleased about. It shows that the staff & developers really do care about account safety as well as keeping your funds as secure as they possibly can. So phone number verification is always going to be something nice. I wonder if they have done that with stake as well. I have not checked.

it looks like this is still in the process and not yet implemented. because I myself have not found account security verification through my cellphone number. as well as stake. let's hope this security feature is realized soon

If you have 2fa enabled then you don't need to verify your phone number. I think 2fa is much secure. But you can verify phone number to get updates about promotion and offers.

it's true, making 2fa code is more secure than just a password. it's just that if we forget the 2fa security code, it looks like it will be difficult to get the code back to open our account.
