Most profitable sport to bet?

Recommended Posts

Hello, looking for a while about sport betting related things i saw a similar question to the one in the title.

''Which one would be the most profitable sport to bet?''

The question, at first sight since is gambling may look dumb. But, i think there is a deeper truth behind it. There are sports where for some variables -perhaps- the dog can win more times compared to others, hence, being 'sharp' enough to bet on them can generate big wins. At this point is obvious that the casinos and the books have a strong grip in the business, which give them an edge compared to the bettors, but for example perhaps in the NBA is harder to profit all around in the regular season compared to the MLB. I cant talk about stats or ''experience'' since traditional sports arent my strong point. But for what i can tell, and with my limited experience in the field i can also agree with the logic, in my memory i can recall ''big'' streaks provided by the NHL and the MLB and even live tennis, but what about the NBA, soccer and everything else?

Another truth is that is harder for bookies to put a ''strong'' line in a sport or competition that is... hard to grade and thus come in with lines that favour them.

So atfer all this, what is your opinion?

Is more easy to profit in certain sport based on how the competition is?

If so, what sport do you think can be the most profitable one and why?

In the end, i know all comes down to research, bankroll, model, inside info and more than anything luck, but its a interesting topic regardless.

You cant be so sure about which game is most profitable in sports. Like I have said in other threads, you need to consider a lot of factors when making a decision here. But generally speaking you can go with that sport that you are yourself knowledgeable in. Dont try out less known sports just because it is fun. You will end up losing money because of petty mistakes in rules or things that every bookie should know.

After that its all about keep analysis charts and observing games.

I guess the best sport to bet on is the one which you closely follow and understand.

And there is no thing that certain sport can be more profitable to bet on rather than other one.Because every bet is mathematically calculated by bookies and odds are adjusted according to them.

Also bookies always keep edge in their favor while giving out odds.

And soccer can be very profitable depending upon how much you know about it just like MLB.

And when you saying certain sports can be more profitable than certain one, then it's come under gambler fallacy.Because mathematically and statistically in every game, odds are kept in favour of house.

So no matter which game you choose to bet on, the odds are you getting is always against you.

So whatever it's MLB or NBA, you need to know what you are betting on and understand and follow teams you are betting on to get most of it.

This is a very good point too. Some people who have a passion for a certain sport tend to also have a "sixth sense" when it comes to knowing which team will win, which can help you win money.

I am new to sports betting, but for some reason I bet on small odds on basketball, hockey and tennis. And these bets almost all won. But the stakes were very small to notice a profit from them. For soccer, for some reason, TVs are not particularly popular because of the third draw coefficient, which often decides the outcome of a match. I really want to expand my knowledge in this industry, and get a solid profit from the bets made. Also poked for luck, in terms of a large number of bets per day, and live bets and regular, also multi bets in the mix, the result was generally none.

If you want to win on sports betting, then you do not need to buy any “signals”, you need to do the analysis of games and match results, etc. yourself, and no one will give you a 100% guarantee here, this is a lottery in which you either guessed , or missed. I made many attempts in betting, while there were no special results, and there was also a big win, just the little things. But the goal is to learn to analyze, and I will move towards it.

The answer comes down to a simple question as where do you have the most knowledge into sports?

For me it's pure computer gaming. So when i gamble at some sports for instance at Stake i have always been heading to Dota 2, League of Legends, Counter Strike.

Because i know that i get most profit there than everything else.

It will always depend on the information you have and experience with such sports games.
