Do you allow your gambling to be seen?

Recommended Posts

So i have a three year old daughter. And shes always all over whatever i'm doing. Trying to drinks my coffee. Trying to eat my dinner. Trying to read my book. Trying to steal my attention. And she often tentatively pays mind to whatever task i myself am engaged in. And a topic having nothing to do with this made me think...

"Is it detrimental to my chitlins future to pay mind to gambling"?

I myself am one of a kind in my family circle. The only gambler. But i have met people who gamble just like mom or poppa did when they were little.

I personally think yes its detrimental. And have since dropped her off at her moms and swore to never pick her up again! Problem solved.🖐️

Go back and pick her up 😂. The game does not affect the interests of children from my point of view. Growing up, I saw my father playing a lot of poker and, of course, I learned it, but I never felt interested in the game. He was smart playing and taught me how to be a strong mind in the game and how to control myself.

Aweeeeeee.... Now i have to go get her!

Shit...ill even let her click the mouse!

You don't think the memories of your poppa playing cards has spurred an internal drive to put your own interests in the hands of lady luck and her twin sister probability? I don't really view a card game much differently than roulette or a dice game. Its just varying degrees of luck/probability and throwing the future into the unknown.

god bless your daughter and your loved ones , in my opinion, i think you dont have to show her that side of you, children learn faster than we think, and if she figured out that she can make easy money from gambling, without working for it , then it will cause many troubles in her life. she will be a gambler, and this will surely destroy her life. gambling is not a good thing as we all think, its a risky journey with a real bad consequences, better spend your time teaching her many other things that can help her in her life, things that makes her resist when life gets harder, and try always to keep her away from your bad attitudes, best of luck, be blessed :)

Not at all. I started gambling as a hobby, as I said, and never felt interested on it growing up. I have a thing more for trading markets but that is part of my job, so it is not something influential from what I saw in my father.

My wife knows I am into gambling and that almost ruin my relationship to her. I became so addicted of gambling before but glad I already controlled it. That's the reason why I don't let my wife and daugther be involve in that. Glad also they don't show interest. I don't want them to be like me. I'm influence by my mother.

Wow interesting. So you are here for trading investments not gambling? What a odd avenue for which to be doing trading. Well i guess that's not really true. There is a forum dedicated to trading.

I'm here for gambling, this is a gambling site. I do gambling as a hobby. Would never get involved in trading markets with gamblers, I know what to expect about that. For trading I use others platforms, and stock markets irl.

I might could possibly in my own way get it! Can't you tell from my witty vocabulary found within my topics that i have a halfway reasonable grasp on how the english language works? Maybe you could use an investments apprentice? Or a trading student? I have an awful lot of free time for learning and paying attention!

I'm ok to play if I'm with adults. My relatives often see me playing, I don't mind. However, as a matter of principle, I don't do this if there are children near me, regardless of their age. As Chikou says, children are curious and learn quickly. I don't want to be the one who made a kid play at casino 😄

Well I have 3 kids 4, 8 and 15 yo. And I take care that they ignore about my gambling   .

My wife and I even try to avoid to use our phonesntoo much in front of our kids. We don't want them to be used too seeing adult focused on their phones neglecting the world around them and try our best to be exemplary for our kids as it true that parents are the first models for the kids. So doing "bad things" Like smoking, gambling, focus on your phones has big consequences on their future life.

Not to talk about I don't want to be the kind of sad that say "do what I tell you but don't do like me " And that can't follow the rules he want for his kids.

That's nice how you guide your children out of what you think will be bad for them. I believe that a child follows what the elders will do. Good thing mate you don't show your kids that you are busy on something in front of them. Keep them away from bad habbits like gambling.

I don't think three year olds will understand gambling especially online gambling but be careful as she grows up and starts asking questions about what you're doing, I believe children will imitate or think it is right what they see on their parents or adults around them.

When I play on primedice or stake I always have a backup tab in my browser to switch when someone peeks in my desktop or walks behind me even though they might not understand what they'll see. I don't want my younger siblings and my parents to know that i'm gambling lol.  I rather caught watching porn than caught gambling.

Seen by who? my family? My family is not aware that I am gambling in online casino :) most of the time i'm playing online game or i'm on facebook. If by chance they see me, I know its not a big issue since I do not spend my whole time i  front of the computer plus it does not affect my relationship with them.

I know there are instances where gambling affect social and emotional welfare of humans (ahaha) but i make sure that i will not end lile that

Pretty much everyone in my family, as well as a few friends, are gamblers.  I have no problem with them knowing that I gamble, but I am not reckless about it.  As far as introducing kids to it, that may be another story, although I was introduced to it around 5 or 6 years of age.

i still dont think its a good idea to show other you bad attitudes ! especially gambling, when kids see you playing they think they can make money doing nothing, all they have to do is to guess the right numbers and they become rich ! showing them gambling is like destroying their lives.

No one knows if I am a gambler, because I always hide when I play and fully play gambling only on the internet. I try to hide until no one knows because I come from an environment of people who have a devout religion so that if found out maybe I will be punished, and my equipment will be damaged this will be very sad.

But don't you think that at  some point they can help you. I mean base on your previous comments from the other topics (which you said that ambling destroyed your life), I think your family is the only who can help you. Sometimes sharing your negative side to the people who cares about you will help you overcome your demons.
