Regularly checking crypto prices

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

Do you regularly follow the evolution of cryptocurrency prices like me ?
I am not a big trader, I only trade my cryptos a few times a month. But I regularly watch (several times a day) sites like Coinmarketcap or Coingecko to :
- know the exact value of my cryptos
- know when I can sell them without losing too much value.

And you, do you care a lot about Btc and altcoins prices, or do you sell and buy at any price as soon as you need it ?

Regular checking is not necessary and is often going to lead to an obsession to check which can be depressing and bad for your health.

There are exchanges where you can set a limit order and allow it to be filled whenever that price is reached. So that is one way of selling at a target although the problem here is that you leave coins for longer period on the exchange.

Other than that day traders run APIs to check prices which feed the prices directly to their excel sheet. It needs some coding skill to develop.

As what UltraChief stated above, it is not necessary to be in staring at prices up and downs, I remember a Trading bot called Gunbot, there you can set trading strategies or if you're a beginner like myself, there are presets of strategies that have been working for most.

You should, that's why your seeing the prices going up and down and maybe find some possibilities in which you can invest or buy for usage. Any kind of penny that is cming from time to time should be welcomed to ur wallet.

Use delta app to see whats the most up and down during a day or week ;;)

follow evolution of price which means from the past present and the future  ? you seem to be obssed to much on the crypto eh  ?  . you arent a big trader but you still do trade therfor you are still considered as a trader and checking the price from time to time would help you alot  .

cmc is a good tool to track prices but cmc have some issues regarding on thier volume while no issues on coingecko at all so your fine because you keep on switching on both sites  . knowing the exact value of your cryptos is also a must so that you will know when to sell  . i care about the price of the coins and i want to buy and sell at the right times but if i need money i just sell them right away no matter what is the status of the market  .

hello everyone! I think each of us plays in the casino for some reason, the result in any case is considered to be a profit from a successful game:) usually my interest in the rate and dynamics of cryptocurrencies wakes up when I hit a certain jackpot and think about withdrawing funds. most often, I do not have an acute need for money and, in the case of the withdrawal of cryptocurrency, I begin to get acquainted with the exchange rate and study the dynamics of the currency. waiting for the right moment. this process takes different times: sometimes I withdraw currency in less than a day. and it also happens that a round sum is gathering dust in the shelter for days, or even weeks:) there are several reasons: you do not want to lose part of the amount on the fall of the exchange rate, as well as "feed" large holders of cryptocurrency during the period of artificial understatement of the currency in order to get them benefits by buying cryptocurrency at a cheap price. I do not have anything against the" whales " of cryptocurrency, but this is the market, here everyone is for himself:)

Well I don't doing any trading involve crypto lately so I don't regularly check crypto prices.

I only check prices when I have to buy or sell my coins or some important event happen like when Facebook libra coin was in news and it's affecting on prices.

Usually I check it to keep track of my cypto holding and any sudden fall in prices.

I mostly hodl Bitcoin so I don't have to worry much about price as visiting primedice forum usually is all I need to know price lol.

Also other than that if I need to know any other coin price I usually check it with coinmarketcap, like prices of bounty Hunter coins and it have large directory of coins listed so it's quite helpful.

When I was starting in crypto I usually do that that and sometimes got carried away to trade with losses. As time passes I learn to hold and accumulate. Trade when I can gain profit. I usually track my portfolio using blockfolio app and its more convenient for me.
