 Masters of Numbers|Bingo Challenge!
Ends: 17/12/18 @ Midday (12pm) GMT

Spoiler

¬†As holiday season is approaching, we have some interesting giveaways for you in stock from the following week, so stay tuned for more info¬†ūüé≤¬†Until then, let's play last Bingo for this giveaway season, this time with a pinch of math. ;)
Firstly, catch any two numbers from the 10 numbers listed below; after that - your next number must be sum of or difference between the first two that you caught. Continue with the following 2 numbers in the same manner combining the numbers you have by adding them or subtracting them to get new 4th and 5th number. Bets don't have to be consecutive, but they have to be winning ones, no multiplier specified, and you can edit your post to add new wins. An example will be given below, for better understanding of the requirements!

All people who achieve the challenge in the next 7 days, will get a share in the prize pool! There is no limit to the amount of winners, and the more people who get involved the higher the prize pool! So if you get more people involved, then you win more!

11.11 | 22.22 | 33.33 | 44.44 |55.55 | 66.66 | 77.77 | 88.88 | 99.99

Requirement

  • Roll¬†any 2 (different) numbers¬†of the bingo numbers listed above. Roll the remaining three numbers based on the sum of or difference between the numbers you have won previously. (For more understanding, please, read the "spoiler" above and the example below!)
  • Bets must be winning ones.
  • Minimum bet:
    • bitcoin¬†0.00000100
    • bitcoin cash¬†0.00003400
    • ethereum¬†0.00003800
    • litecoin¬†0.00014000
    • dogecoin¬†1.70000000
  • 1 valid entry per household.
  • Bets must be public¬†during the whole duration of the promotion.
  • Bets must have been made after the commencement of this promotion.
  • 10+ forum post count.
  • Haven't broken any¬†General Giveaways Rules!

Prize Pool(s)

  • Minimum prize pool: 0.01¬†BTC
  • If over 30 participants: 0.03¬†BTC
  • If over 40 participants: 0.05¬†BTC
  • If over 50 participants: 0.08¬†BTC

*Example: If you caught 22.22 and 55.55, their sum is 77.77, and their difference is 33.33, so 77.77 or 33.33 can be your next (3rd) number. If you decide it to be 77.77, then for the 4th number you cannot make a sum with 55.55 (it would be 133.32, and that number doesn't exist on PD), and you cannot subtract 55.55 neither because you would get 22.22 again - we want to avoid doubles where possible; so add 22.22 to 77.77 and your fourth number is 99.99, and your fifth number can be, for example: 99.99 - 55.55 = 44.44. Make valid combinations by adding or subtracting your winning numbers as you hunt for the Bingo.

How to Enter

  1. Respond to this topic, and link your bet ID using the link function in the text editor.
  2. Make sure to write how you got the numbers - the equation included above or below the Bet IDs.

(Paste your bet id, then highlight and click on the link bet button, as shown in image below)

could you write an example, not an explanation of the example

Here's an example entry that could work: 22.22, 33.33, 11.11, 44.44, 55.55

11.11 = 33.33 - 22.22

44.44 = 11.11 + 33.33

55.55 = 11.11 + 44.44

Basically, each new number should be based on either adding or subtracting two of your previously-rolled numbers.

Another one is 33.33, 77.77, 44.44, 11.11, 55.55

44.44 = 77.77 - 33.33

11.11 = 44.44 - 33.33

55.55 = 44.44 + 11.11

According to your bet, your fourth number should be 88.88 again (99.99-11.11)

Is it allowed to get double 88.88 or I miss something? @Serlite @Bojana

Nah my fourth will be 77.77 (88.88-11.11) and 5th could be either 66.66 (77.77-11.11) or 22.22 (99.99-77.77)

Yup, in this case, the exception can be made, actually has to :D Bets can be same numbers, but of course, new ones, in case one gets stuck ;)

Yes, @hillowner45 has other options, in his case ;)

Whew, what a tricky one to hunt for! Here we go, I think I may be the first complete entry? Good luck to all the rest of you!

Some of you may have noticed that I repeated two numbers, despite what the giveaway said. That's because I hit a dead end after rolling three numbers - there were no other numbers I could make with the ones I rolled! In those situations, it's allowed to repeat earlier numbers - but only once you run out of new numbers to roll.

Now, what about the script? Well, here's what I used:

Paste it into Seuntjie's dicebot, and delete the default dobet() function. Don't forget to set the win chance/currency/amount/etc. variables yourself!

numbersToHunt = {11.11, 22.22, 33.33, 44.44, 55.55, 66.66, 77.77, 88.88, 99.99}

function dobet()
	if containedInSet(lastBet.Roll, numbersToHunt) then
		print(lastBet.Roll)
		print(lastBet.Id)
		stop()
	end
end

function containedInSet(x, set)
	for key, value in pairs(set) do
		if x == value then
			return true
		end
	end
	return false
end

"But wait a minute," you may say, "this script only hunts for all the numbers, it doesn't do all that math stuff!"

And you'd be right - but the thing is, your odds are actually better if instead of settling on the first pair of numbers you roll, you record every valid number you roll for, then work backwards and make the math work. For example, if you rolled 55.55 and 77.77, then you'd aim for 22.22 next to get 3/5 of the numbers. But what if your next numbers were 44.44, 11.11, and 33.33? Well, if you threw away the 77.77, then your numbers would be 55.55, 44.44, 11.11 (55.55 - 44.44), and 33.33 (44.44 - 11.11), then you'd have 4/5 of the numbers instead!

So it's safer to keep all the numbers you roll, because you have more options of which numbers you end up wanting to use/hunt. Also, it's harder to code that sort of logic, and I'm tired. =P

If I do hit a 22.22 then a 55.55 then lets suppose I did hit a 77.77.. then by the rules the next one should be 99.99 as I can't repeat bets.. what if I did get a 99.99 before that 77.77? Will it be taken? Or that 99.99 should be hit after the 77.77? Hope you can understand my question @Bojana lol

PS: @athena2007 @Serlite and @PARANORMAL your bets are not right.. you didn't follow the rules about the sum or not to repeat numbers.. right @Bojana?

Will it be taken? Or that 99.99 should be hit after the 77.77? Hope you can understand my question @Bojana lol

PS: @athena2007 @Serlite and @PARANORMAL your bets are not right.. you didn't follow the rules about the sum or not to repeat numbers.. right @Bojana?

i know im just saving all the hits as i get them and sorting it out later as i am still confussed lol ty and if serlite can get it wrong too .. we are doomed ,.,

22.22

55.55

77.77 (55.55 + 22.22)

99.99 (77.77 + 22.22) or 33.33 (55.55 - 22.22)

if fourth is 99.99, fifth should be 44.44 (99.99 - 55.55) or 33.33 (55.55 - 22.22)

if fourth is 33.33, fifth should be 11.11 (33.33 - 22.22) or 88.88 (33.33 + 55.55) or 99.99 (77.77 + 22.22)

Even though 99.99 has been hit first, the next (3rd) number should still be the sum or difference of the previous numbers. In the above example, since the first two numbers are 22.22 and 55.55, the 3rd number should be 33.33 (difference) or 77.77 (sum) but not 99.99.

I think we should AVOID, but with Serlite's first two numbers, there are no other possible numbers so repeating is fine as long as the two same numbers are from two different bets and it MUST be the only possible next number.
