Which TV series do you watch?

Hey everyone :)

So I was wondering which series you enjoy watching. I don't have a particular series genre or theme in mind so all ideas are welcome. I like anything from action, to comedy, to mystery, to romance, to suspense and more.

I would love to discuss which series was your all-time best watching. With so many options out there it is extremely difficult to select a good series to start, and that is why I prefer asking my friends, and now the PrimeDice community what they think.

I am not too keen on movies, since they are often 2 hours long, so I don't often have time to watch a full movie, although some weekends I do. If you know of a good movie, feel free to share it as well (no specific genre or theme).

Personally, I have enjoyed Friends, Stranger Things, Survivor and Suits, amounst others. I enjoy watching a series when eating a meal, or when I find myself with more free time on my hands than I planned for. I also find it a very good way to de-stress and get my mind off things.

I'd love to hear from you, do you watch series, any particular ones that you are willing to recommend to a fellow Primedicer? I'd love to hear in the comments below :)

I'm a bit nerdy. I love Science Fiction.. so I recommend the following:

  • Star Trek - If you wanna know why:
  • Stargate (Command, Atlantis, Universe)
  • Firefly
  • Killjoys
  • Dark Matter
  • The Expanse
  • Stranger Things
  • Mars
  • Residue

Next to it I love:

  • Star Wars Shows
  • Game of Thrones
  • Daredevil
  • The Punisher

Nice thread, I do love watching tv series as well but I wait for about 2-3 years after pilot episode to before watching them so I won't be left out hanging and waiting for the next season. My list includes: 

House MD, The Walking Dead, Spartacus, Oz, True Blood, Community, AHS and the list goes on and on.

The only series I'm only waiting for the next season right now is GoT and American Gods.

The ones I'm currently watching (or trying to) are Lucifer, The Preacher, How to get away with murder, Quantico. 

My all time favorites are: White Collar, House MD, Supernatural, Monk, Firefly, Castle, Criminal minds, Law and Order (SVU). I'm pretty sure there is at least 20 more, but these are the first ones that came to my mind. :D

I would say that 24 is the best show of all time! It's easily #1, none can come even close for me ever! Agent Jack Bauer works for CTU (Counter Terrorist Unit) dealing with (terrorists) assassination attempts, nuclear attacks, bio-terrorism, torture, traitors, sleeper cells, other bad guys in 24 hours (hence the name, 24). Each episode is an hour in the show (about 40 minutes for us without commercials) with 24 episodes, each covering an non-consecutive day in Bauer's life. CTU helps stop the attacks with amazing agents, such as Nina Myers, Tony Almeida, George Mason, Chase Edmunds, Michelle Dessler, the list goes on and on of agents who risk their lives to save the world from merciless terrorists, time after time. More than one story goes on in the 24 hours though and we see the President deal with the attacks and internal issues in the White House and Jack's wife Teri and daughter Kimberly have a nasty habit of accidentally becoming embroiled in the day's events. This is a show everyone should watch because they will love it. This show has cliffhangers at the end of every episode and is very easy to binge watch and watch the entire season in one sitting. 24 is amazing and needs to be watched by everyone, trust me and start this now, if you have never seen it, you won't regret it. If you want a real thriller with quite a few Seasons, this is your show.

Monk is very good (old series) but still very good. It follows a brilliant detective with a terrible OCD problem. I'm a big fan also of The Mentalist but there's so many episodes I haven't seen. Lie To Me was another big favourite of mine, it follows the life and business of a man who has dedicated his life to spotting lies in facial expressions. Loved that show, shame it didn't have as many seasons as I would have liked.

Blindspot

Friends (of course)

And the list of tv series to re-watch and finish: Criminal Minds, Castle, Bones, Monk :D
