Ripple As New Bitcoin Or Not

Recommended Posts

Bitcoin is created to be decentralized way of online payment. Pretty much no one to controls it and btc blockchain is make as public ledger. Where every transaction is public and can be seen but at same time anonymity at first place.

Over time many new coins were created. Some more successful then others, some just for fun like dogecoin but it is still there lol, some become scam and some abandoned by development teams.

But, no one would believe, in a place where decentralized and anonymity are priority centralized coin would have any success. And yes, they created Ripple or XRP, centralized coin. Totally opposite of what crypto world wants. Someone would say such coin can not success in crypto world. But surprisingly Ripple is on 2nd place compared to all coins. Or, number one Alt coin. One of Ripple features is reserve. Reserve is there to activate your address and you can not remove it. It is 20 XRP necessary to have active Ripple address.

Bitcoin is dominant and leader among all coins. Simple look at any trading site, it is same. 1st bitcoin, 2nd Ripple.

We can like it or not. But Ripple is there and more successful then many other coins. Due current market situation regarding drop in value almost all coins. Some people think Ripple will take Bitcoin position.

Do you think this is possible, for Ripple to become number one coin soon?

If we measure success as to how much centralized a coin is then yes. Problem is do crypto owners like centralization or they are against it? Its a no-brainer question.

Price of a coin does not determine whether it is good thing or not. Take the example of Bitconnect which was a ponzi scam and was in the top 10 list of coinmarketcap when bitcoin was rising last year.

I would say Bitcoin Cash

Bitcoin cash is another centralized coin promoted by the liar named RogVer and his associates calling it to be the real bitcoin (lie).

But with hard fork and all stuff around Bitcoin Cash... I think they had a chance but now, not soon to see that coin at value it has.

I hope next year it will Tripple the value

It's possible bro. It's relative stable compared to btc.

Of course, that's true. But, since crypto become popular there are so many people who look only for quick money and don't care about how everything started. And they have money.

Maybe Ripple got a great future, but there's also a lot of other centralized coins coming up, bch for instance. i think that Ripple will rise a lot in price over the next few years, and remain being second, but I also have my doubts that it will overtake bitcoin, at least not for the next 5-10 years. When people speak and hear about crypto currencies they will think of bitcoin as the first coin, it will be like that for many years out in the future and because of that bitcoin will remain number one.

Ripple is a very successful coin indeed and I know some may prefer it because it's centralized but I don't believe that a centralized coin would take the #1 of crypto which is supposed to be centralized , That's one of the biggest reason people went to using BTC and other crypto

Not only is ripple not decentralised, but it's also mainly owned by the people who created it, which means that the day they decide to cash out, is the day the price crashes, and everyone gets destroyed on their investment.
