Kargai 337 #1 Posted September 12, 2018 As we know (or not) Shapeshift had to change their business model recently, it was an place where you bought cryptos without revealing your identity but they had to compell with the law and are now asking a full KYC registration which kill the best part of the service. But they are not the only one on the field and there is still few options if you want to enjoy the "anonymous" way of life to buy BTC. Some are already weel known like Changelly or Coinswitch, some will have their spotlight time with the "death" of Shapeshift (like Flyp.me or Changenow). And this list only provide 4 sites but there is more than that (Metamorph Pro, Faa.st, ..) Source : https://news.bitcoin.com/four-alternatives-to-shapeshift/ Did you alreadu use of those 4 services ? If it's the case what do you think about it ? 1 EpicGord reacted to this
Zudom 1 #2 Posted December 19, 2018 I used changenow and was pleased. They offer a good service without registration, there are no limits and a favorable rate. As an alternative to shapeshift, this is the best option in my opinion. 1 EpicGord reacted to this
EpicGord 46 #3 Posted December 19, 2018 I have used coinswitch and changelly....both are good but changelly provides better rates while coinswitch have more altcoin to go with...Both are reliable and fast for me.
dicyprime 19 #4 Posted January 10, 2019 Using changer, works alot like shapeshift. Not sure why swhapeshift asks for kyc now, like do they have fiat or something, or crypto to crypto also needs kyc now.
DreamStage 144 #5 Posted January 16, 2019 Well i was able to try out Coinswitch based on Stake's new deposit option (heard of it from there). I can certainly say it can easily help you with your deposits for everything you need concerning crypto market quick virtual currency exchange transactions. Still i would love to see it with a complete withdraw to Pay Pal, Bank account or any other service in case we had to, also deposit back from them as vice versa. Just like you have from Coinbase. I think it would be a direct competitor to them since there are not much of these kind of services with direct pay pal or bank account exchangers. As soon as you start interacting with financial institutions like PayPal or banks, I don't think you can avoid government scrutiny (and by extension, KYC requirements). Especially if you try to become an entity large enough to rival Coinbase...
sourc3code 206 #7 Posted January 17, 2019 What I really like about my Trezor hard wallet is that it actually will allow me to do these exchanges with all the above exchangers, and it will automatically sort and compare the amounts I'll receive from them. This way, I can make sure that I receive the most for my money on an exchange. Great feature for it, you should try it if you have a Trezor hard wallet. I know exchangers like this really don't provide the optimal rate, but sometimes it can actually save you money compared to using a traditional exchange for smaller amounts when you take into account withdrawal fees at them. Some i've seen as high as 0.001BTC, with the average being around 0.00025-0.0005BTC. BTW in my experience it seems that coinswitch normally provides the best rate (usually).
