Copied topics, spam responses, etc. ❌👊

Recommended Posts

Hello Rollers and Rolletes!

Its been a while! I've been back and observing quite a while. Seen new faces and names all around the place. 🤘🏽

Well, I would like to talk about something that I've noticed more frequently. That is, people doing topics that are seem "copied", not really copy and paste, but somehow topics that are already posted and then reposting it on a shorter way or a different way. Also, doing comments that may not seem relevant.

Now here's the thing: If you're doing this, then you're just milking the forums up.

This forum is giving away free BTC, for content that is VALUABLE, for the members to discuss and talk about.

I don't wanna mention names, but here's my own version of guidelines a forum member must know to avoid copying and putting meaningless responses:

  1. Before posting, check and browse the category. Someone might have posted the same topic that you wanna post.
  2. Before responding to a topic, make sure you read the entire topic first. Same goes to replies and quotations.
  3. Make sure you post your thing on the right section/category. Not just on the sections that will pay you. 😑

Those are just 3 things to remember. For you guys to learn more, you can visit admin Dan's topic for forum guidelines.

Have a good day and see you guys around!✌🏽

Whenever something is given for "free" everyone will come and try to get a share of it - its the rule of the internet and there is no exception to it.

PPP was actually brought back last year to make sure the forum sees some good discussions and activity. But if people are going to abuse it then PPP might even get removed. Those who are doing so dont realize this.

I totally agree Chief.

Those people who are abusing this wont see the disadvantage until they see it. I just hope forum members, new and old, would actually do the right thing and help the forums grow.

Thanks, dmb, for this awesome topic and for always making meaningful and not-plagiarized ones, but with some contributing insight and opening them for discussion. :)

Yes, always check if the topic exists, especially with suggestions and reporting bugs, promoting new sites, etc. Keep track of the Forum Rules and Guidelines and do not make alt accounts, we will catch you :D Provide clear links besides the ref ones, respect each other and other's opinion, Forum is for discussion and exchange of opinions and sources, a true mark of a healthy community :)

Precisely my point @Bojana. 😘

Catch em' ones that are just goofing around the forums. There has been a consistent one lately. I just don't wanna mention names. But yea, let's make this place a healthy one. ✌🏽🤘🏽

It's money making, people will always abuse it in any way if it gives them profit, most topics here are just totally useless but why not to post something useless if I can get money for that ;D

And that's the sad part about it mate.

If all people will abuse it, it will be gone for good. Why wait for that to happen if we can correct things now. ✌🏽

Just stick to the rules and if you seeing someone not doing so, make use of the report function. Sometimes we don't see things right away.

Yea. That's right.

This post is just for a shout out for those who are doing it. Not really for the Forum Moderators. ✌🏽

Yeah my opinion is don’t make the rules too strict. Because me myself and probably a lot of other people don't think about checking on the forum if the topic you want to make a topic about exists. If you get what I mean

Most of the big and/or serious forums on Internet have rules. That's something classic and it's needed in all cases when the forum start to grow. If they don't do it it's a total mess. When you register to it you agree to follow those rules. If you don't do it ... you deserve the sanction.

On Primedice we have the warning points system who just do that : warn people that they are breaking the rules. If they still continue to do it they deserve whats come next.

Regarding the rule to search if a topic about the same subject already exist it's just a way to not launch the same issue again and again and again, which will be boring for every usual user.

On point. 🤘🏽

Most likely, new comers are the ones who are unaware, or maybe just ignoring the rules. They'll have a short-lived forum life if that's the case. Better to follow rules to helo the forum community. 😉

Yea, it depends on the person.

Yea. Some people just do forums for the pay, and not even thinking about their content. Some are copying previous topics. Lame.

Copy paste topics aren't issue only here. Many forums fight with it. We as member of this community should help moderators and other stuff members by reporting it. Here is a thread from UltraChief

im new to PD forum but was in PD since 2016, and at gambling since 2014 or 2013, well since i returned this 2 months to PD im seeing some ppl forcing their content (post or topics) thats what i hate its like they want to farm some satoshi's fast , even tho im trying to make some to play with but that not my only goal 😏, i like that there is a community that active daily talking about somthing i like (crypto ,gambling ... ), cuz all the forums i was on all are dead and some have 6 ppl online at best

so even if Pd removed the PayPerPost i would love and be happy to be active in PrimeDice in general, and wish it wont be closed at all #PD_FOR_EVER ❤️❤️

That's the keyword: farm some satoshis.

The people who are doing this are poisoning the community, with their selfishness. Without even realizing this privilege that PD is giving them for PPP. 😑😑😑

I have created a new tutorial for reporting posts. I see that people are not reporting posts that need to be removed and those which people feel are not contributing anything worthwhile to the discussion. The only way the community can help prevent this abuse of forum privileges is to report such topics/posts for the moderator team to take action.

This is noted.

People has to be proactive on doing this to maintain a healthy environment. Thanks!

Actually @dmbadillo10 I have also noticed kinda the same thing happening with some respected members creating a spam of topics that are mostly like a short resume from cryptonews forums inside our forums.. many of them are totally useless topics for 90% or more of our community to be honest yet they keep being done (and probably being paid to do so)

Hmm. I've been around and been observing stuff here in the forums too. And I wouldn't really say no to what you said.

Technically, if, those specific topics are considered and has been tagged and identified "spam" by forum Moderators, then those should actually be removed. Me, I honestly admit that I had some replies, and topics before that has been removed by Moderators and Admin. And I definitely learned from those mistakes to make myself a more worthy forum person.

I hope that "Respected" members would live to the title that was given to them by the system.

When I mention "spam" I dont always mean topics that moderators would normally be tagging as spam but topics that are taken as spam for 90%+ of us, the "normal community", since they are mostly like a copy and paste (or a short resume) of these same sites we all know
