ūüďĘ Beware of Phishing!

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

There has been an increase in phishing attempts on the forum lately. I am currently working on a solution and gathering more data on the people abusing the system, but in the meantime you need to be careful with what you click on when people post links on the forum. If you ever click on a link that asks you to log in somewhere, especially if its the forum asking you to log back in. Know that its a phishing attempt.

Be careful people <3

In addition to this, always review the URL before entering your credentials. Some phishing sites make a replica of the login page of the original website but if you check the URL, it's a different link.

Here's another example of a phishing strategy :

it look exactly like facebook but if you check the URL,  its a different site asking you to input your email, password, email password and your security questions.

Growing use of social networking is going to make phishing via that media more popular with time, and just further supporting the need for ongoing and timely user-education and awareness campaigns to help consumers protect their online identities and accounts.

Im not sure but maybe IPBoard provides support for these sort of situations under Admin's Panel else just contact them. Im sure they will help out with something.

As its probabily some code injection / 3rd party access / some old admin doing those type of attempts for the account hackings...
