Bitcoin debit card.

Recommended Posts

I don't think this is a thing in my country yet (India). The government doesn't fully approve the use of crypto currency for trades so no, I've never owned a Bitcoin debit card and I don't see it happening anytime soon either.

I have mine from Bitpay, but i don't find it useful yet. Fees are high as hell only have small amount of bitcoin in my wallet so no reason for me to even consider using it at the moment. The other FIAT currency cards are doing just fine.

Still if i was to recommend one now it is the one from Bitpay.

As the web site originally said :

For Non-US Residents:

There are no transaction fees for using the card to pay in the your currency's region of acceptance (EUR in the Eurozone, GBP in the UK). If you are using a USD card outside of the United States of America (or EUR outside of the Eurozone, GBP outside of the UK) you will pay a fee of 3% to cover the cost of currency conversion.

When you use an ATM domestically, you will pay a fee of $2.25/€2.00/£2.00. When you use an international ATM, you will pay a fee of $3.25/€3.00/£3.00

But since i am in Sweden and we do not have the Euro the conversion to SEK is a joke. Its around 13% lower than the worst exchange. I hope it will change in the future

@sunitG: Are you living in the UK?

I'm using Skrill.

However Skrill is not a cryptocurrency service but an general online payment system that offers a Visa Debit Card. Skrill just has the option to upload funds from your Bitcoin Wallet.
