  1. Btc price has been down since last week, you just haven't been paying attention. The odds of him being satoshi are astronomically low, judging from the things he said and did. Being ordered to pay money he doesn't have won't move the price at all, and even if he does have it, it means he is satoshi and we are all fucked anyway.
  2. The funniest part is he barely did any obfuscation and successfully laundered this massive amount, yet he got picked up selling drugs to a federal agent instead, that's a combination that will get you sooner or later, it's only a matter of time.
  3. It's meaningless for us to invest in it, only for big companies, so they can do what they want. It will get the world into crypto for sure.
  4. I think any non-btc one is fine as long as you don't think of it as real. Just don't use btc unless you are dead inside because at some point you will feel the weight of it if you are semi successful 😄
  5. Many people have this mentality that if something unfortunate hasn't happened to them, they have a quality, a certain nobility that has allowed them to not be affected. Since other people don't have that quality, surely they can only blame themselves. "I don't have diabetes, cancer, heart issues, bad childhood, rare genetic diseases, depression, etc, therefore everybody else who has them, well that's their own fault. If they wanted to they could have avoided it." That is the way their thinking works. If you don't believe me just search for "depression is fake" or "ways to cure depression" or some crap like that. The same thing would apply even more here. If I am the victim of a scam, other people will more likely scoff at me, saying "why were you so greedy, so stupid, don't you understand that everything is a scam? Look at me, I am so smart and I have never been scammed." Basically they are just using someone else's unfortunate circumstances as a chance to show that they are smarter than that person, and everyone else for that matter. After already acknowledging that I have been duped, it's not easy to take things a step further and announce it, even behind anonymity. The worst I personally have been affected was paying for a phone contract without reading the full terms and conditions, so the access period ended a lot earlier than I expected. It was rather scummy because you have to manually change it from the max capacity usage or it zeroes out within a month. Such a company would probably be fined millions in Europe 😋 Nevertheless I did announce it in a public forum and even then people chose to attack me, saying why was I not aware of this? I'm just a random customer trying to use my phone, not a lawyer 😄 Lots of scam offers are too good to be true. However that doesn't mean that anything that is too good to be true must be a scam. Recently I looked back to some of the bitcoin forums and chats in 2016 and it's funny to see how everyone was extremely wary of this new tech and investing opportunity, me most of all 😅 The mood back then was "is this really going to work, maybe it will crash tomorrow and we are all just stupid, surely such an opportunity should not exist in real life" and then there were people who were 100% into it knowing for sure it would be great, dragging us along psychologically. Funny times.
  6. Funny how everyone blames their own greed when losing but when you think about it, isn't the first bet equally greedy as the last bet? As a high multiplier could hit anytime, you have no idea so you would try to do as many rolls as possible. It's easy to say that you should have stopped, but thats only after they have lost everything. Nobody who wins $5000 says he should have stopped after winning $100.
  7. Instead of losing big, why not try to make it impossible for yourself to lose that much. Use the vault feature to put a delay in between busts. I don't have any self discipline when betting but even 1 barrier to betting will make me stop and know that's enough for the day.
  8. If they don't care about it, I'm not going to care about it. No point trying to do such a thing for me, when mods and support could be on anytime. Ignore list exists for a reason, and I rarely have any problems with chat ever since I started using it, because it's usually the same people causing trouble.
  9. Personally I don't think that much about it, don't like centralized coins with lots of issues surrounding them and questionable use cases. I can't see it going up except in collateral exuberance like some kind of alt season and even that is getting less and less likely until another run on btc.

  12. I'd be honest with myself, all these break points are useless unless you are 100% committed to withdrawing and never coming back. Otherwise the endless dance of deposit and withdraw means nothing. Am I really going to withdraw every coin and never play again? What are the chances of that? Zero, right? So why pretend to care about taking some money out? The minimum limit for withdraws is only about $10, which is not a lot for most people here, when you look at your lifetime wagered totals and remember you have to bet about $100(?) to even use the chat. If I'm really concerned about self discipline I would just put it in vault to not bust all at once.

  14. Wow, I'm not very smart about doing these things but the setup and concept is very interesting to follow as a spectator! Thanks for doing such a complicated event, even people who don't participate can be entertained.
  15. I've done it a few times during races when the prize payout is around 0.002-0.003 for a few rolls, so it comes with a pretty nice bonus. Don't think I've ever lost with it, that would be pretty unfortunate. Sure, it's probably not the smartest thing to do, but so is gambling itself. People can do whatever they like, and who am I to comment on their choices? That's the freedom of gambling, you can risk your money any way you please.
  16. Possible? Yes. Probable? No. It's not the best idea spending the time for a full time job on a negative EV proposition. But of course there are people who believe the earth is flat so I'm not surprised any more at what other people think. I just hope they don't ruin themselves or something if things don't work out.
  17. The funds don't have to be gambled, the roll can be for 0 and hash/nonce can be posted in advance. The idea is that if they are unlucky, they behaved nicely all day for nothing! What a terrible fate!
  18. Suggestion: At the end, make a roll, 50% chance. A loss means no prize is given out. The prize may be rolled forward to the next day instead. Since it costs nobody anything to enter the giveaway, nobody has a right to complain.
  19. It's called the "seed" or "recovery phrase" and as long as you have that you will be fine. All your private keys can be generated from that string of words.
  20. That's what lots of celebrities thought about their pictures on the cloud. If their security can be compromised it's difficult to imagine why yours cannot. There is a very good reason why most wallets will remind you over and over again to store them offline and not through other electronic means, including cloud storage.
  21. I don't particularly have any goal, in general I don't want rolls that result in too small a win to see. I could lose all my balance on both sites and still be fine, anything deposited in a casino is play money to me, and if anyone feels differently, well, they are just putting additional pressure on themselves for no good reason.
  22. BTC is balancing on the 10k mark today. I think it's fair to say crypto winter is officially over. However for me, this price level is not enough to change my life, since I don't have that much and didn't buy at the 3k low points. I'm greedy and want nice things! 20-25k, and I would happily sell every satoshi I have. For Eth I think about 1.5k is enough? I never did think of Eth as real money anyway, just Eddie rain units. What price level would make you sell every single bit of crypto you have?
  23. Feel like Auger Aliassime keeps getting underrated, he can do chunky upsets on a good day. Don't like women's tennis much, gotten burned in the past, I'd rather just pick handicaps and lose the 50/50 instead of ML.
  24. For over 0.01 I check the first and last few characters of the address, anything more than 0.1 I try to check a few more. I've sent and received a ton of btc over the years, had a few mistakes but haven't lost any yet due to wrong transfers. Also I just find something else to do when waiting, if I don't, I will keep peeking to see if the transfer is done.
