Well this is definitely the right place to talk about it, I mean it says “poker” as the section, so where else are you going to put it? Primedice is dice but they made a forum poker section for a reason...wow it amazes me sometimes how people just don’t get stuff. Anyway, hold em would be alright, there would just need to be a way to stop cheaters. It could be manipulated quite a bit, if the right measures aren’t taken in the initial set up. For example two or “players” at one table could be the same player and he would see how ever many cards are out to his seats, so he could have a huge advantage

Play smarter basically means: Keep playing and make us money.
nah to be honest its just a line they probably thought sounded cool so they use it as a tag line

If anybody has not watched the Witcher yet on Netflix, I highly recommend that you do so. As with most good series, it will take an episode or two for you to get fully dedicated to watching this, but as someone who is not particularly a fan of fantasy type of fiction, I find myself actually enjoying this series, like I did for the first 6 seasons of Game of Thrones. I’m already excited for season 2 that comes out next year, and highly recommend this series.

It’s been a hurt on my ability to make a deposit on a consistent basis and therefore I haven’t been playing as much or able to have much fun. I don’t think I’ll be able to play for a long time due to having to catch up since I’m quite behind financially. Probably not the worst thing in the world but since I’m rather controlled when I do gamble it does kind of suck that I’ll probably be relegated to only using the monthly bonuses they send. Oh well. At least I have my health and that’s more important than any cryptocurrency. Hope all is well with everyone and to remember to always remember what the actual important things are in life. Be safe everyone

Many of you always ask, “I need a good strategy, can someone help?“ or something that is similar to asking people for help in what I assume is basically asking for a successful plan to walk away with profit. I don’t assume most of you are asking because you want to know how to have fun with the entertainment form of gambling. You should already know how to do that but what you want to know is how to turn your losses into wins. Here is the best advice you’ll hear: take everything you planned on gambling and do it on one roll. It’s statistically the best way to do it, because the more rolls, the more you lose. If it’s about having fun, that’s a different story altogether but solely for the purpose of a strategy that could be the most favorable for the player, it’s to only play one hand/roll.

I am pretty sure that if you send a chat to the live help they will be able to give you these statistics. On Ed’s last stream, when people were complaining about the amount they got with their coupon he said a way to have an idea of what you were going to get back was to just ask live chat what your wagering was for the week, so I assume they can also be able to query the specific day that you would want to see, as well. I would try doing that for the time being until they add the feature, if they even plan on doing it.

stevenwonder got a reaction from donreyadano in The most frustrating thing about dice
As a long time player at Primedice, I never really went out of my comfort zone when it came to gambling on dice. I always left it at 2x and just rolled til I was able to build my bankroll or I lost it all. I never believed in any system like the martingale, I just rolled and increased my bet every so often to either make up for the losses or if I felt I was on a streak and I was rolling hot and wanted to make more profit than I was already making.

Well fast forward a few years and now I’ve expanded my horizons to include larger payouts, up to 25x. I don’t go much higher because it seems like it’s more or less getting your money back after you roll 500 times and I choose to manually roll. But now I get frustrated because this has to be the most annoying part of picking a high multiplier: picking the wrong side. It seems that every time I pick a side, had I picked the other, I would be making a lot of bitcoin. If I pick low, 98,97,98 etc are always appearing. If I pick high? You guessed it..1,2,3 etc. It’s pretty frustrating picking the range of numbers you think it is going to be in, just for it to be in that range but on the other side..anybody else find this more frustrating than just losing in general?

stevenwonder got a reaction from nolep in How is the pandemic affecting your play?
I am interested in knowing how much people are playing due to this global outbreak of sickness. I would expect that the amount of play would be down, but then on the other hand, with as many people that are stuck in their homes, I wouldn’t be surprised if this may be a thing to do to pass the time. Of course with the negatives of Bitcoin dropping a lot within the past two weeks, I don’t know if that is decreasing deposits or if because the value is down, some of you are buying it and playing with it on here and on Stake. Personally, I am losing my mind with having to stay home from work, coupled with the fact that I also am bored out of my mind. I’ve been way more active on the forum but I have also deposited quite a bit into Stake and am transferring funds back and forth just to keep myself busy.  I think at this point, I am up about $40 but have increased my VIP % a little bit.

stevenwonder got a reaction from nolep in Is gambling ever affected by anything?
I was doing some research on the gambling and the effects it has during certain economic times and it’s kind of crazy to me that it is unwavering through the harshest of times. Many physical casinos have closed down to the pandemic but, of course, online casinos are unaffected as far as needing to be shut down for health concerns. I put it in an earlier topic about how effected you  would personally be during these trying, unpredictable and unprecedented times but I wanted to do some some further research and I found some interesting facts. Now these facts that I present aren’t based on a pandemic of health nature but more of an economic weakness in a period of time. The only country I could find some good stats on was the United States, but for now, that will have to do.

The last economic downturn of the United States was in 2008, when after due to a housing market crash, stocks plummeted and the United States hit a recession. Casinos and sportsbooks seemed unaffected though as YTD numbers seemed consistent with the previous year, and didn’t see much of a downturn compared to other industries the United States was big in, such as manufacturing and banking.

I believe a big part of why gambling is unaffected is because of the panic such events bring, causing people to be a little more careless with how they try to get their money back. When you lose a lot fast, the first thing in your mind is to gain it back just as fast and the quickest way to do that? Casinos and sports. Knowing that the stock market or any long term investment would take a while to recover, it appears that the gambling industry reaps the rewards of recessions and down economic times. It’s hard to argue against trying something like that because of how much people lose in something that was supposed to be a relatively safe. If your mindset has changed to “everything is losing” it’s hard to come up with a reason not to take a chance on a weekend at the casino or sportsbook.

stevenwonder got a reaction from nolep in How much has the vault saved you
I think one of the greatest features that both Primedice and stake have implemented is the ability to put away your balance in the vault. Before it was added as a feature, there were many times that I would be reckless with my balance and turn a profit into a loss before I could blink my eyes. I think this tool is a great way to settle down as your gambling and regain some mental balance if you find yourself on a very large winning streak. As a rule of thumb, whenever I am able to double my deposit, I immediately put into the vault the amount I deposited, and only play with my winnings for the rest of the session. If I happen to lose, I take it back out of the vault after I have taken a quick breather so I don’t make irrational “get it all back now” bets.

How many of you all use the vault in this way or do you use it to store bonuses, tips, rains, etc? I would like to know how each of you use it and if you do, have you noticed any changes in how much or how quickly you lose funds. For me, I’ve been able to play way beyond what I would have without it, and find I don’t lose nearly as much money as I did before they had it

Yeah to each their own. It definitely is more convenient to set the settings just the way you want it, hit roll, and see what luck you’ll come up with. Just feels like at that point I’ve kind of set it on autopilot and I’m not very much in control. In the grand scheme of things though, I guess it doesn’t much matter since a win is a win and a loss a loss.

Martingale-the fool proof idea that loses you money, but makes it seem like you won’t lose money. It’s not a system to me if it doesn’t work. I have a better method if you want to lose your money quick. You start a fire and you throw a base amount in there. If it burns the money, you add a fixed percentage based on what you think the fire will return when it doesn’t burn your money. Keep repeating this process til you run out of money. My method is a lot quicker for the same results you’ll get using martingale! Please everybody don’t thank me all at once

I usually just gamble even more with it. Since I’ve already predetermined I’m going to lose my initial deposit anyway, I figure what I’ve won (which seems to be less than what I’ve deposited, if I win at all) would just be redeposited, it just makes sense to keep playing with it. If I were to win a significant amount, I might use it to go on a vacation or something leisurely but I don’t use gambling winnings for everyday expenses or needs since I already have that budgeted within my monthly allocation towards expenses.
