Its probably already been hit, but was probably hit with too small of a wager or with a bot. I personally think that the jackpot will never be hit and is more for "hype" than anything else, but thats just my personal opinion...Really wish they would have made the jackpot smaller, but more obtainable. It makes a lot more sense from every angle, other than not wanting to pay out a jackpot.

sourc3code got a reaction from CryptoDadlol in What will happen if people stop mining Bitcoin?
This is true, since if everyone stopped mining alltogether then it wouldn't be possible for anyone to send transactions. Transactions rely on blocks to be found, hence the reason why there are transaction fees as incentives for the miners and also why transactions sent with little to no fees have a chance of being rejected. So yes, you are correct =)

Interesting take. Hashflare and many other cloud mining programs are legit. 100%. The ICO in my profile for example is also legit and will be offering similar services. They are not ponzies (programs that pay members with other members investment) and they are not scams (programs designed with the knowledge it can not last). They are mining btc. They are paying customers with btc mined. The issue with these companies (the real ones btw i am aware there are more fake cloud mining programs aka ponizes than real ones but you can't lump them all into one) is not taking into account btc difficulty and price fluctuation. That is one reason I am investing into the ICO of Icerock Mining.
As far as your research into hashflare you can find live walk thoughts of their center. There is tons of info out there but before I defend them anymore let me say this. FUCK HASHFLARE! I would not invest into this company. Not because they are a scam but because bad business model and treatment of affiliates. They don't attach affiliates to sponsors for life. If your affiliate doesn't click on YOUR hashflare link or enter your code manually each time the commissions go to the last site visited. 99% of the time this is the default hashflare site. meaning hashflare takes the commissions... Any company with this type of affiliate system can wither away for all i care. fuck em.

Lets just be careful using the word "scam". It tends to be used these days anytime a company is not making profits.. that's just business not a scam lol Over 90% of offline "real" business fail... so anytime an online one does people say scam.. it hurts the industry. We need to focus on the REAL scams like bitconect and similar ponizes. Cloud mining" is the future. This is a new industry about to blow up. IceRock got a fucking mountain to mine in... I have seen others with portable trucks with wifi! It's nuts. It's only gonna get bigger and that's why you do cloud mining over rig mining. Unless you have tons of space or end up renting space you can not compound your profits as easy as you can cloud mining. Of course you make  less in some areas but you also take less risk. I personally wouldn't want to be responsible for $500,000 a year worth of BTC mining rigs. I rather a large, sustainable, expandable business that can pull resources not possible by an individual. That's just me though and I do understand and see the values of rig mining. It's just not for me. Don't have the space nor time to invest into running and building miners.
wow I had a lot of coffee! lol sorry! But yeah, biggest take away here is lets not call things cams that are not scams and hashflare can die off for all I care! =D

To my knowledge, Hashflare has always been a scam, just a working one (at least up until now). I have no idea why people insist on investing on cloud mining...if you don't have the funds to mine with your own hardware, then use something like Nicehash or Miningrigrentals where you're actually renting REAL equipment from private parties. The business concept of such companies are actually sustainable since the price to rent is set by individual miners, and the company makes money from a % fee.
IMO it just isn't feasible for a single company to continuously add enough equipment to their infrastructure in a timely manner to fulfill as many purchases as there have been with Hashflare. More than likely, they have significantly less overall hashing power than they've actually sold, and they just pay people out using the funds they continue to receive from new customers. AKA a Ponzi Scheme. I definitely wouldn't be investing any funds into Hashflare, or any cloud mining company for that matter. It just doesn't make sense to me how it could be profitable without significant risk to the company or to the end-user. At least if you purchase your own hardware you can sell it when difficulty goes up. And with Nicehash/Miningrigrentals, you can rent by the hour so you can easily stop mining to reduce losses should there be a significant difficulty increase in a short period of time. Just my 0.02 cents on the matter.
EDIT: Another thing I want to add, I've never been able to find photos of Hashflares supposed mining operations that coincide with the amount of hashing power they've sold. The only photos I've found are here, which is nothing but a few closed racks and power generators...
    https://hashflare.io/data-center/
There could be anything in those racks, or nothing at all. I know that if I was running such an operation legitimately, I'd be wanting to show off photos of the datacenters and hardware given how impressive it would be. They can't even show a single rack showing that they at least have SOME hardware? It just all doesn't make sense to me...transparency is a MUST for such operations, something they've never been able to provide. Which usually means they are overpromising. Eventually, the tipping point will come and it will all come crashing down. Keep this in mind before you invest anything with Hashflare or any cloud mining platform.

THIS COULD BE FAKE NEWS DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH!!!

Changing this thread to more of a "HashFlare Watch". I am not claiming HashFlare is a scam. Matter fact i think it's one of the few reputable companies out there doing cloud mining.
With that said i think it's a very rocky time for HashFlare. IF this is true and they are offering refunds it's a red flag... In their own terms of conditions they say "Subject to any statutory rights you may have, you may not cancel the agreement covered by these terms of service and you will not be eligible for any refund. " . So I think it's safe to say something is going on.
I would also like to point out that this company does not care about you as an affiliate. They will take your affiliates without thinking twice. They have a policy that allows your affiliates to let someone else get the affiliate bonus should they happen to click on another users affiliate link. So you may get the bonus once but if they log in or click any other hashflare link besides yours at ANY TIME you lose that affiliate.. where does it go? Well, I assumed to the new affiliate link right? But when I asked HashFlare about an affiliate of mine that this happened to they said it went to their (Hashflares) default affiliate page (In other words HashFlare kept my commissions). In 18+ years of online marketing I have NEVER seen or heard of a policy like this. Discussing and would be and IS the reason i no longer promote this company. (That doesn't mean they are a scam btw just in my opinion a really crap affiliate program and unethical)
Please feel free to discus or add positive/ negative evidences, reviews or any other type of useful information that may help people make an educated dessision if they should invest or WHEN they should invest into HashFlare.

Thanks and look forward to some comments.

SK! Don't invest! It was one of the best cloudminer sites... WAS! After that they changed lifetime contracts to 1 year contract and the minimal withdraw becomes 0,05 BTC. Now the support is horrible, sometimes you have to wait one or two weeks for a ctrl+C - ctrl + V answer. Hashflare is struggling with financial problems and is doing what they does (i think). But they will lose their customers (especially small investors who have more) and they will bankrupt. As I said: DON'T Invest! You will not see your money back! I hope it was useful!

I purchased 50 T/hash of mining power at a cost of $11,000 in December. Initially, i was supposed to end up with 2.2 BTC after the 12 month period. 2 months later, i'm not only projecting to make 1.48 BTC. Every day my payout has gotten smaller and smaller. I understand that mining difficulties change, but this is highway robbery. On top of that, they end up taking about 35% after you factor in their "maintenance fee" and then there's some other nonsense "electricity fee". Then when you want to cash out, they rape another "commission" fee out of you! Hashflare is a scam! Buyer beware!

Lol I know right - Can't believe someone was actually able to get away with that much from such a big company. I will say though, the bigger a company gets, usually the easier it is to find exploits as its so difficult for them to be able to bulletproof all portions of their services. I guess whoever hacked Coindash can now retire, even with the portion of funds they kept!

sourc3code got a reaction from Carollzinha in Requirements for Being Able to Create a Thread in the Lending Section
So it's pretty clear that the lending section has gotten out of control with the majority of the borrowers either paying late without notifying the lender or just not paying at all. With this being said, I think it would be ideal for PD to have more requirements before allowing users to even post a thread in the lending section. I propose that in order for someone to create a thread in that particular section, they need to have a minimum wager amount on their PD account (at least 10BTC), at least 10 likes/upvotes here on the forum, and an immediate ban of their playing account and IP with their funds confiscated should the amount borrowed not be returned on time. This way, the confiscated funds can either pay off a partial or the full amount of the funds borrowed. Should there be any leftover funds after paying back the individual, the rest of the BTC should be tipped to the chatbot for chat games.
Personally I think having such requirements known to everyone here would decrease the amount of defaulted loans. There could even be a page prior to creating a thread stating all of these terms, where the user must click an "I agree" box before continuing posting. Of course if the user doesn't meet the requirements, then they should not be able to create a thread at all in the lending section. I think that users should be able to reply to any existing thread regardless of the requirements needed for creating a new thread. What does everyone think about something like this? I'd love to see the lending section cleaned up and for lenders to feel more safe about letting others borrow funds. Currently, it seems that the majority of borrowers are either late or not paying back their loans at all which obviously makes the lending section more hurtful than positive for the community. Something needs to either be done about this or the lending section just needs to be removed to prevent scamming. Just my 0.02 cents on the matter.

The price of bitcoin has increased by 20x, while the amount wagered that gives VIP has stayed the same. I suggest that the VIP wagered amount be lowered not by 20x, but by something reasonable like 30-50%

sourc3code got a reaction from mgod in Requirements for Being Able to Create a Thread in the Lending Section
I agree with you - I personally think that lending funds shouldn't be allowed to be used on PD, but the reality is that 99% of the people borrowing are going to use it for that. Which is ok (despite it being a stupid thing to do IMO), as long as the borrower can show some proof of when/where they will be receiving funds externally to pay the loan back like you said. Either way, something needs to be put in place to reduce the amount of scammers in lending.
Also, it's worth noting that the VIP tag means nothing in regards to gauging whether you'll get paid back or not as I've seen many "VIPs" default on their loans. If anything, I always think of it as a negative count towards their credit worthiness. I mean cmon now, you're telling me that you've wagered 100+ BTC but you need a 0.005-0.01 loan bc you currently don't have that much?? Just doesn't add up. The VIP tag is a joke these days, as it seems that most who have the tag received it when Bitcoin was less than $300/BTC. I've wagered around 27BTC, most of it recent, and I bet you that the actual dollar amount I've wagered is over double the amount of most so-called VIPs. Just wanted to let everyone know about this since some tend to think that VIP = trustworthy/rich. This is hardly the case for the majority of the time.
This may be true, but it still makes PD look bad to a certain extent when people visit the lending page and see that 80%+ of the threads are defaulted loans. Which is why I said that either something needs to be done to help reduce the high amount of defaulted loans, or just to remove the lending section altogether. It seems to be doing nothing but creating scams and victims of these scams.

sourc3code got a reaction from Noahbreezy in How to get BTG
Glad I could help out =) Be sure to check back often on the list as it seems that there are more BTG scam wallets being added to it. The Bitcoin Gold team really needs to get their stuff together and release an official wallet as well as a livenet blockchain. They should know that these two components are required before anything else can proceed in regards to BTG. They have apparently integrated 2-way replay protection the other day, but this is all for nothing if there isnt even a wallet or blockchain for people to actually make transactions and for miners to receive rewards for mining. They currently have a testnet set up for miners to test things out, but I highly doubt many will be switching their miners over just to test out the network for no reward. Again the BTG really needs to get their stuff together
TBH, I personally think that this last BTG fork was nothing more than a way for a China-based company to work around the ICO ban. Pretty sad, as it seems that forks are increasingly fueled by nothing but greed through hype. The only fork that I believe could possibly help in some way is the upcoming SegWit2x hard fork. Even that though, could cause more harm than good depending on how BTC holders react to yet another coin being added to the extensive list (B2X will be the new coin "forged" once the November hard fork occurs). Just my 0.02 on the matter.

You can currently trade/purchase Bitcoin Gold at yobit.net. To my knowledge, this is one of the only exchanges/sites that is currently offering BTG. Speaking of which, the price seems to be going up at Yobit, which is a good thing for the overall BTG price in general. Its up 24% today so far - We'll see how far it goes up here in the near future.
The real question is when are BTG wallets and a blockchain going to be released? Without these two essential tools, its a bit difficult to do anything with Bitcoin Gold at the moment. Also note that all of the wallets out currently are scams, so be careful what you download.

sourc3code got a reaction from athena2007 in The 1.55x Strategy (Manual Play)
So I'm sure some of you may already have either tried out or heard of the 1.55x strategy, but here I'll explain more in-depth for those that don't know the details, as its more than just a martingale/auto strategy. It requires some intuition and paying attention to trends to pull off successfully. And of course most of all, it requires LUCK =)
    Basic Strategy Details
To start, you would be playing at 1.55x multiplier and setting your base to whatever you feel comfortable with. As it is lower than 2x, I tend to run my base bet at a minimum of 0.0001BTC and up, but of course this depends on your bankroll. Be sure to keep a good bit of room in your bankroll for error, as the wager amount can get pretty high using this strategy.
The way this strategy works is if you hit Green, you leave the wager as-is and roll again. Once you hit a Red, you would double (2x) your wager amount. Hitting green after doubling would not only cover your previous red, but it would actually give you profit as well. If you hit 2 Reds in a row, you would hit the 2x button TWICE (4x the increased wager amount) - If you hit Green on the next roll, then you would again not only cover all previous reds, but you would actually generate profit. Any Reds from this point you would want to 4x increase until you hit Green to come out on top after that particular run. Since your chances of winning are 63.87%, the aim of this strat is to hit continuous greens. Hence the reason why you would most likely want to start with a decent base wager.
    Advanced Strategy for Max Profit
There is a separate part to this strategy, the part that takes some intuition and watching your streaks carefully. On 1.55x, there will be points where greens are more prevalent, and other times where reds are. It would probably not be in your best interest to just blindly 4x your bets on any reds in succession, but rather to follow trends and bet accordingly. For example, if you notice that there are a lot of reds just starting to come up, it may be best to not increase the bet amount at all, and ride it through the red streak. Then, immediately following the streak, it should technically switch sides or even out. This is where your luck will need to either kick in or not. With enough luck and progressive rolling, this strategy can bring you some substantial profits. There have been times where I've used this 1.55x method when I was down to, say 0.02BTC from 0.1BTC and managed to come all the way back up in less than 10 minutes. Of course this is risky, and I don't recommend using this strategy all the time - However if you are feeling lucky and want to try a high payout strategy that isn't based on hitting a high multiplier, this may be a good strategy to try out.
    Conclusion
Again, any strategy will require luck first and foremost, as well as being able to appropriately set your wager amount based on your total bankroll. Furthermore with strategies such as this one, it will also require some intuition and experience to try and generally guess what trend the upcoming rolls will produce. As with any strategy that I share here or anywhere else, you agree that I am not held liable for any financial losses or harm from using any part of it. Only bet what you can afford to lose, and know when to stop playing. Remember, even the most ingenious strategies will eventually bust over time due to house edge. With this being said, knowing when to stop playing is the most important strategy of all! Hope this strategy helps someone, and good luck to all!

Even Seuntjie's dicebot is free, so why would you sell a strategy for money? I guess if people are willing to pay, then do it up but I think such things should be shared with the community as there's no such thing as a guaranteed win strategy.

I regret gambling as much as I have online since the start - Who knows how much I'd have currently had I saved every penny of it in place of the winnings from gambling. As much as I've won online, I'm sure my losses are definitely higher overall. Lately, I've been doing my best to keep it to a minimum and only playing for fun rather than to try and make a dollar out of .15 cents, so to speak.
I guess what matters in the end is that we learn from our mistakes, just as it's been stated by others above. If you keep making the same mistakes over again, its no longer a mistake - Which means you need to fix yourself.

This could be done fairly easily if Seuntjie Bot actually picked this up as a feature - I could see it done where the actual bot runs from your desktop (server), and there would be a "client" application that could run on your mobile device, whether web-based or native app. The client would essentially connect via internal API and would act as a "remote control" for the actual bot running on your home computer. IMO this would be the best method of applying this, since mobile phones tend to have spotty internet coverage in various areas. Would make it so that your rolls wouldn't mess up if you lost coverage.
